Thank you so much for the brilliant description. It’s so much clearer to me now! I’ve made this a couple of times using another pattern and description and although I can sew quite well, I found it a little difficult and a little bulky. Yours is very elegant and has reduced all parts to a minimum enclosing all edges very cleverly. 🙏🏽❤

Question for you...what if the separated zipper pull came off where one side of zipper has a 'stop' on the one side at the very bottom, the other side end has a typical raised metal piece that is what is inserted into the zipper pull when normally is attached as it should be? It's on a winter jacket.

I had a similar problem once and I just couldn't fix it because the whole thing was too bulky. At the end, I replaced the whole zipper, which was a difficult task. I am affraid I cannot really advice you . 😔

I came here hoping to fix my windbreaker because the zipper slider fell off. On my windbreaker, the zipper has stoppers on each end. I’m not sure if this remedy will work for this situation. Though it certainly was a cool idea. Pretty much everyone has a fork laying around. 😊

I have made four of these pouches now, and I am finding that the dimensions of the pieces are not quite right. I have to cut some off every time, especially on the front pieces. I am going to use different foam this time that is not quite so thick. Hopefully they will be easier to work with. The foam I used originally was about 1/4 inch. The new foam is 1/8. I also purchased a 1/4" foot, so I am finding that to be a lifesaver now. Here is a link to a video of the ones I made. ua-cam.com/users/shortszNNNDfiFDmI?feature=share

I just watched your video, lovely presents for your friends at work. 1/8 " should work better for you, sometimes fabric interfacings stretch the fabric a bit when fusing, also, the thicker they are the more difficult it is to sew them on the machine. Happy sewing! 😊
